Who We Are

For the past six years, Red Road TV has been dedicated to amplifying Indigenous voices, preserving our cultures, and sharing the stories of Indigenous peoples with audiences around the world.

As a media initiative of the Indigenous Peoples Movement (IPM), Red Road TV was founded on a simple but powerful belief: Our stories deserve to be told, and they deserve to be told by us.

Through original programming, documentaries, interviews, cultural showcases, and community storytelling, Red Road TV provides a platform where Indigenous perspectives are celebrated, Indigenous issues are brought to light, and our voices are heard.

What began as a commitment to greater Indigenous representation in media has grown into six years of storytelling, education, advocacy, and connection.

Our Vision

In a media landscape where Indigenous voices have historically been underrepresented, misrepresented, or excluded, Red Road TV envisions a future where:

  • Our Stories, Our Voices: Indigenous stories are told by Indigenous people, ensuring authenticity, cultural integrity, and meaningful representation.
  • Preserving Our Cultures: Indigenous languages, traditions, histories, and knowledge are documented and shared with current and future generations.
  • Educating the World: Audiences gain a deeper understanding of Indigenous cultures, contemporary challenges, achievements, and contributions.
  • Building Bridges: Storytelling creates opportunities for dialogue, understanding, and solidarity between Indigenous communities and people around the world.
  • Inspiring Change: Media becomes a powerful tool for raising awareness, challenging injustice, and strengthening Indigenous communities.

Six Years of Indigenous Storytelling — And We’re Just Getting Started

For generations, others have told our stories for us. Red Road TV exists to change that narrative.

After six years on the air, our mission remains as important as ever: to ensure Indigenous peoples have a platform to share our histories, celebrate our cultures, confront injustices, and tell the stories that will shape our future.

These are our voices. These are our stories. This is Red Road TV.
